Spring Landsaping in Eastern North Carolina

Chelsea Perry - Wednesday, April 04, 2018

Here in eastern North Carolina, we're very fortunate to have a mild climate that many plants thrive in. However, it's important to understand that your landscape, plants and flowers can be impacted by the salt in the air even if you don't live directly on the ocean or sound.

Here are a few things you can do this spring to ensure that your lawn and landscape will continue to thrive throughout this season!

Prune trees and bushes.

Take some time to inspect your trees and bushes. Prune and cut away the dead branches.

Fertilize your lawn, trees and other plants.

Before fertilizing, make sure your lawn and plants are properly analyzed. Different types of fertilizer should be used depending on the plant, grass and condition of them. The right fertilizer will help them to grow and flourish this spring.

Take time to weed.

If you lets weeds get out of hand, they can actually prevent your plants from growing and even kill them. Take time to get rid of all the weeds in your flower beds and spray weed killer throughout your yard.

Add fresh mulch to your beds.

Fresh mulch will help to moderate the temperature surrounding your plants as well a hold in moisture. A variety of colors and textures of mulch are available to suit whatever appearance you're going for!
