Curb Appeal Tips For Fall

Chelsea Perry - Wednesday, August 30, 2017

Here in eastern North Carolina, we are fortunate enough to have moderate temperatures throughout Fall. Our weather allows for beautiful plants and landscaping to thrive and look great! Here are some tips to keep your Crystal Coast home's curb appeal in tip top shape this autumn!

Plant fall flowers. Enhance your landscaping with fall flowers and plashes of color. Mums come in a variety of seasonal color and are a great way to add curb appeal to your front yard.

Paint your front door a fun color. Paint is a simple, quick, and inexpensive way to update your home. Painting your front door can be done in just an hour or so and can make a huge difference in the appearance of your home. Try painting your front door a fun autumn color such as burnt orange, rust, golden yellow or bronze.

Update outdoor light fixtures. We all know that fall means that the sun sets earlier. Outdoor light fixtures will not only provide a safety feature by lighting up your home after dark, but they'll help to create a beautiful ambiance when the sun goes down.

Add potted plants, a wreath and seasonal decor. Decorate your front porch and/or sidewalk with beautiful pots that boast fall plants. Potted plants allow for layering, staggering and moving them around if necessary. We love a beautiful planter on either side of the front door to really make a welcoming statement. Add a seasonal wreath of colorful leaves, straw or ivy to your front door... and don't forget pumpkins!
